Equine Challenge™ Joint Support contains performance enhancing Yucca,
Glucosamine, Chondroitin Sulfate and MSM, in an easy to administer
product that horses will love. Equine Challenge™ Joint Support contains
OptiMSM brand MSM by Bergstrom Nutrition. Sulfur is an essential mineral
for the proper support of connective tissues and plays a role in maintaining
proper joint lubricant function. MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a naturally
occurring source of highly bio-available sulfur. As a primary biological
metabolite of DMSO, MSM thought to be helpful in managing pain and
inflammation associated with normal daily exercise and activity. Chondroitin
sulfate is one of the natural body lubricants commonly referred to as GAGS.
Chondroitin sulfates help the horse's cartilage to bond collagen fibers, and to
entrap water. Also, chondroitin sulfates are believed to help fend off enzymes
that may tend to degrade the cartilage. The chondroitin sulfate used to
manufacture Equine Challenge™ Joint Support is 90% pure pharmaceutical

Equine Challenge™ Probiotic concentrated seven strains of viable Bacillus and
bacteria in a milled flaxseed base makes an effective pro-biotic that can be
into your supplementation program. The microbial sources are guaranteed to
provide bacteria that are both viable and effective in promoting intestinal well
being. Researchers report that when animals are fed lactic acid bacteria, the
activity level of the immune system increases and, therefore, are less
susceptible to disease. Beneficial bacteria, especially Bacillus, produce many
enzymes that may help to improve feed (nutrient) utilization. Protease,
amylase and other enzymes produced by pro-bacteria serve to break down
complex feed molecules into less complex nutrients. These smaller
smaller components are more readily used by the animal (greater bio-
Recommendations for use:
Consider additional probiotic support with immune challenging protocols
such as de-worming protocols, antibiotic therapy, diarrhea, abrupt feed
changes, vaccinations, foaling and investing new foals with bacteria

Equine Challenge ™ Flax is a human grade milled flax seed, the same milled
flaxseed used with all other Equine Challenge™ products. Flaxseed contains
28% dietary fiber of which 7-10% is soluble fiber (which dissolves in water) and
11-18% is insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber will turn into a jelly like consistency
and will slow the introduction of glucose into the blood stream and will help
move sand through the gut. Soluble fiber is of great benefit to horses with
insulin resistance and equine metabolic disorder. 50% of the dietary fat in
milled flaxseed is the essential fatty acid, Omega 3 (alpha linolenic acid).
Omega 3 EFA’s will help produce a nice shiny coat and will help with many dry
skin issues. Flaxseed is rich in anti-oxidants, high in Omega 3 fatty acids, high
in both soluble and insoluble fiber at a price which is hard to beat.
Recommendations for use:
2 - 8 ounces daily or as needed. Consider additional flaxseed support with out
the added cost of vitamins, minerals, probiotics and nutraceuticals for dry,
itchy coats, flakey skin and seasonal dermatitis, added protein, fiber and fat
and for weight gain. Can be used in conjunction with all Equine Challenge™
products or as a stand alone source of flax seed.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Keep tightly
sealed.
